The History and Creation of CodexBilingua

CodexBilingua was created in October 2008 with the amalgamation of Codex (GB) Limited, one of the UK’s leading financial printers and data room providers, and Bilinguagroup, one of Europe’s premier translation and interpretation agencies. The aim of the enlarged group is both to maintain and enhance existing services to our loyal customers, whilst also exploiting the synergy of our previously separate organisations in order to create a one-stop international business communications specialist.

Codex (GB) Limited was formed early in the new Millennium by an experienced team of financial printing and typesetting specialists, who were committed to utilising the most recent technological innovations to provide clients with a faster, more flexible, printing and typesetting service, whilst at the same time improving production quality and consistency. The new business’s dedication to customer service and pricing transparency, within a market sector often better known for hidden costs and undeclared increases, led to rapid growth and controlled expansion into further complementary specialist areas, including:

• commercial printing

By contrast, Bilinguagroup was one of the UK and Europe’s oldest surviving translation agencies, having been originally formed in 1986, primarily at that stage as a temporary recruitment agency for linguists, before developing a specialisation in translation and interpreting services. Whilst embracing technological developments, Bilinguagroup never lost sight of the fact that businesses are primarily about people, and over the years has established an enviable reputation in an industry often most remarkable for the transient nature of its companies and short-term residency of its staff, for the commitment, professionalism and experience of its well-established team.
